Emirates Airline is a leader amongst airlines when it comes to offering amenities on its premium cabins.
From suites in First Class to the onboard shower on their A380’s, the Dubai-based carrier has always pushed for innovation. While the First Class amenity kits have been world beaters, they have not changed for a while, and it is time for a refresh and another slice of innovation.
Emirates Introduces the World’s First Moisturising Pyjamas
Moisturising Pyjamas Like No Other
With the overall refresh, Emirates is changing the pyjamas offered to First Class passengers. While the old pyjamas were fantastic, lightweight, and super comfortable, the new ones go a step further.
In a world of firsts, Emirates’ new pyjamas are the first moisturising pyjamas in the sky—they release nutrient-rich sea kelp to keep your skin hydrated while you sleep.
The fabric gently releases naturally nutrient rich sea kelp as you move around, preventing dehydration and stimulating circulation. Drape yourself with our soft sheepskin like blankets, which are also exclusive to First Class customers, and settle in for a peaceful rest.
The new pyjamas come in a felt bag, with accompanying matching slippers and an eye mask so that you can take them home with you. The new set also includes Microcapsule Technology to lock in the moisturiser, so that you can reuse the pyjamas after washing them.
Amenity Kit Refresh
The traditional amenity kits provided by Emirates to its First-class passengers are from Bulgari; the association will carry on although the design of the bags and the contents will be changing.
The new kits will include a new fragrance from Bulgari and will come in charcoal grey for men, and pale grey for women. Frequent flyers can build up a collection since there are four types of bags for men and four types for women.
According to the Emirates Airlines: “Prepare for the next step of your journey using our exclusive Bulgary amenity kits. We’ve introduced a new set of kits featuring Bulgari’s woody floral fragrance – Eau Parfumée Au thé noir. Our designer kits are filled with skincare essentials to keep you feeling fresh and pampered throughout your flight, and we’ve added a lip balm to restore softness to your lips.”
For a long time now, Emirates has been offering a range of Timeless spa amenities in its First Class and Business Class onboard bathrooms. With the changes, this will be no more. The company will now be stocking the lavatories with a skin care range from VOYA.
According to the Airline, the new range of skin care products, “Ireland’s seaweed bath houses offer nature’s full therapeutic power in its purest form. You can experience this 300-year old tradition on board with our select VOYA skincare line, carefully crafted using organic, hand-harvested seaweed.”
The product will further “Nourish your skin and hair with our full range of VOYA products including shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, moisturiser, body wash, soap and cleanser. Fragrances include rosemary & mint from the Revitalise range, lavender & rosemary from the Tranquillity range, and lime & mandarin from the Soothing range.”
In these days of cutting costs with airlines making reward programmes less valuable, and reducing perks and benefits on premium cabins, as well as frequent flyers, it is refreshing to see Emirates taking a bold step in the right direction, and raising the bar for travellers in their premium cabins especially with the world’s first moisturising pyjamas.
