The Dubai Canal is to receive some unusual floating structures including homes.
The project is part of the first phase of Marasi Business Bay development in Dubai to be constructed by Admares.
The development will include the construction of two restaurants, an exclusive Yacht Club, and ten water homes which will all be floating on the Dubai Canal.
Admares, which specialises in the production of floating buildings on water will design and construct all the new structures at a specially designed facility in Finland.
The design phase of the project will be carried out in partnership with Kudos and Sigge Architects, a Finnish interior design firm. Once all the work, which started in October last year, has been completed in Finland, the floating homes will be transported to Dubai by sea before the end of 2017.
The ten new Dubai floating homes will be truly unique in the UAE, as they will be the first to have both access by boat and by foot, confirmed the master developer Dubai Properties. They will add to the splendour of the new Marasai Business Bay, which will also include five yacht marinas with a capacity of 700 berths, as well as leisure facilities, restaurants and the floating homes. It will also feature the longest waterfront promenade in the UAE.
The new the Dubai Canal floating homes is yet another feather in the cap of Dubai, the UAE and Dubai Properties, and will create one of the most desired residential destinations in the city.
Abdulla M. Lahej CEO of Dubai Properties stated, “We stay one step ahead by working with speed and efficiency to seamlessly create blueprints for success and deliver exceptional lifestyles, value and a lasting impact for the betterment of Dubai.”
