Are you looking for an unusual adventure this winter season?
As the mercury goes down and we enter the winter months, now is the time to visit Dubai, a member of the United Arab Emirates.
This lovely piece of desert offers endless adventure as well as some of the world’s best shopping and dining. It is a land of the unusual and the superlative.
Here are, in no particular arrangement, some Unusual Dubai Adventure Activities you can indulge this winter.
- CHILL OUT
Dubai has a warm climate that attracts visitors from around the world. If the heat and humidity are too much, you can cool off at the Chillout Lounge in Dubai’s Times Square. This Lounge is the first sub-zero bar in the Middle East and another one of the most unusual Dubai adventure activities.
Visitors to the bar with a temperature of -6F get thermal clothing to wear while enjoying cocktails, hot soups, sandwiches and hot chocolate. The lounge is unique with its ice sculptures and Arctic decor.
- SKYDIVING AND BUNGEE JUMPING
Dubai is located in a warm desert climate with blue skies most of the year. The city an ideal place for beginner and advanced skydivers to glide over the blue gulf waters and see the famous Palm Jumeirah Island and the 300 World Islands from the air.
The World Islands are a man-made map of the world with individual islands offered for sale.
Rocky breakwaters surround the Palm Island and the World Islands. They are major attractions in Dubai with luxury hotels and elegant homes. You can visit the islands by land or by boat but why not see them from above.
Skydive Dubai has a scheduled flight over the Islands as well a school for first-time jumpers.
Dubai is a growing city with new construction. Gravity Zone offers bungee jumping off of a crane 50 meters above the ground. Bungee jumping is definitely not an activity for the faint-hearted. A 300-foot jump is also available for that adrenaline rush.

You can explore beautiful offshore islands including the deserted Moon Island, perfect for fishing and Scuba diving. This crescent-shaped island, 70km offshore, is reached by boat for a day of fun in the bright, blue gulf waters.
Deira Island, 35km offshore, is one of the man-made islands in the Palm complex. The beautiful island is known for its fine beaches and views of the city. Deira Island is another place for snorkeling, playing volleyball on the beach or enjoying a barbecue.
Hamdam is another offshore island perfect for water sports, including fishing. Fishfishme will take you fishing and sightseeing to all of the offshore islands. They will arrange for beach barbecues and other activities.
There are lots of scuba dive tour companies in Dubai that will take you to these islands and even private coves where you can dive for pearls.
